September Cottage lies in the heart of the much sought-after village of Kintbury, nestled on the banks of the Kennet and Avon Canal. Formerly three separate cottages built in the 18th century, the current owners have remodelled and created an elegant and stylishly presented family home paying great attention to harnessing the many original features that are seen throughout the property.

The entrance hall with stripped exposed beams offers a welcoming arrival and lies centrally within the house providing access to the principal reception areas and bedrooms. A formal dining room and sitting room, both with stripped oak beams and inglenook fireplaces, lie at either end of the house with the beautifully appointed kitchen connecting all three reception areas. French Doors within the kitchen open directly onto the walled garden and there is a casual dining area that holds delightful views over the garden. Directly off the kitchen is a lobby providing access to the garden, garage, dining room, and utility room. A garden corridor runs along the rear of the house, where a cloakroom is located and leads to a playroom or study area where there is access to the cellar.

The six bedrooms are beautifully presented and continue the theme of exposed beams. The principal suite, has a striking vaulted ceiling , a dressing area and ensuite bathroom. The remaining bedrooms are found off the central landing and are served by two bathrooms.

The charming walled garden that can be accessed directly from various points in the house is mainly lawned with raised flower beds along the boundary. From the garden, the garage can be accessed via a side door. There is also off street parking in front of the garage.

Kintbury is a highly sought after and bustling West Berkshire Village which sits on the banks of the Avon and Kennet Canal. Within the village and a short distance from the house, is the village shop and post office and soon to open Deli. The Dundas Arms and Blue Ball are two pubs found in the village. Kintbury also has a pre-school and Montessori school and the Kintbury school of ballet is run from the village hall. The train station in Kintbury means that this village is extremely well connected for those needing to commute. The market town of Hungerford lies just over three miles away and is highly regarded for its antique shops.  Both Newbury and Marlborough are easily accessed via the A4. Throughout the local area there are delightful rural villages many with charming pubs serving delicious local produce. Kintbury is a truly vibrant village and is ideal for those wanting a classic village life.
