Marsh Baldon is a quintessentially rural village, yet it is only 6 miles from central Oxford. It is easy to forget that the city of dreaming spires is so close by. . Known for its large village green, which has beautiful houses dotted around it, there is a real sense of rural peace and tranquillity. A short walk over the green from Swallows, sits the Seven Stars pub, which is community owned and a great spot for an evening drink or a quick bite to eat. The neighbouring village of Toot Baldon is home to the renowned Mole, a superb gastro pub, for which people will travel for miles. There are numerous country walks right on the doorstep, many providing stunning views over the Chiltern Hills.

Commuting to London is easily done, with fast trains to London Paddington from Didcot Parkway and London Marylebone from Haddenham & Thame Parkway. Junction 7 of the M40 is only 9 miles away.

The village primary school has been rated Good by Ofsted. Additionally, there are a number of excellent local private schools with many located in Oxford or Abingdon.
