The Drawing Room is simply magnificent with high ceilings, an attractive fireplace, original window shutters and an alcove at one end. The Dining Room is similarly impressive - these are fine examples ofQueen Anne reception rooms that are unspoilt, but in excellent condition. OUR THOUGHTS ON UFTON NERVET

Located in West Berkshire, the Berkshire Downs are within close proximity as is the Kennet Canal and the River Thames, offering a wide variety of scenic walks and the potential for water sports. Ufton Nervet is a rural village but it is not isolated. The whole area has a fabulous rural feel yet there is a vibrancy to the area that is evident in the wide variety of excellent local pubs.

Newbury, Reading and Oxford are all within striking distance and the property is also well positioned for the M4, with Junction 12 only 4 miles away. Crossrail, which is due to be completed soon, will provide a fast connection from Reading to TheCity. There is a wide choice of excellent schooling, both state (including the village primary school) and private.
